Using your handset

The handset is ergonomically designed to fit in your left or right hand.

Dual Motor Operating
The Dual Motor feature enables the footrest and the back of your chair to operate
independently.

Quick Release Handset
Quickly remove the handset and store away from children.

Full Rise: Raises chair allowing you to stand up easily.

Back Lower: Lowers the back only.*

Reset: Returns the chair from any position back to the standard sitting position with the footrest closed and back upright.

Footrest Raise: Allows you to achieve ‘TV position’.

Back Upright: Brings the back to an upright position.

Full Recline: Takes you to the fully reclined position with the back lowered and footrest raised.

* An additional safety feature has been applied. You cannot adjust the back rest position
if in the raised mode. If you attempt to lower the back, the chair will return to ground
position. This prevents the user accidentally slipping or falling from the chair.

To support this, we provide you with a unique 25-year frame and frame assembly guarantee. This applies to all wood and wooden components of your Parker Knoll furniture. In addition, our furniture is supported by a 5-year guarantee for motors and mechanisms. We also provide:

  • 4 years on our Premium Comfort Foam or Encore seat interiors
  • 1 year on fibre fillings
  • 10 years on springs (for furniture delivered from 2024 onwards)
  • 1-year guarantee on fabrics and leathers.

What is the difference between a Rise and Recline chair and a Powered Footrest chair?

Our Rise and Recline Chairs offer a handy lift and rise feature that our Powered Footrest chairs don’t have. They still feature a reclining footrest, also though.
