Get the Look: Soft Touch

Getting the neutral look right can be difficult. How do you create a light, welcoming space that is still homely and comfortable? The way that you utilise your accessories is what can make or break this look.

We’ve picked out some of our favourite accessories to show you how you can use beautiful neutral layering and textures to bring a simple décor to life.

Pillows and Scatters

Layering your sofas and beds with textured pillows and scatters can add depth to a simple scheme and lift a flat palette. You should try various tactile details and muted shades to find the best combinations for your home. Mix and match patterns to enhance the look and add interest – remember there’s no wrong answer when it comes to decorative textiles!

Textured Blankets

Nothing beats cuddling up under a cosy blanket with a warm cup of tea on those lazy evenings at home! Not only are they perfect for keeping us warm, but layering textured blankets in various tones and hues can make a stylish addition to cream bed sheets or a sofa in our Boucle Flax fabric. Using varied colour combinations and patterns will aid in enhancing the textured look.

Elegant Lighting

A statement light fixture may be all your home needs to add a hint of texture to your surroundings. Crystal chandeliers in particular shine beautifully in sunlight, and elegantly complement our neutrally upholstered Harrow collection. Also, if you feel that a space has a colder atmosphere than desired, introducing a fixture that softens the light will really make a difference!
