Decorating Your Home for Christmas

Decorating Your Home for Christmas

Now that December’s finally arrived we can start to bring a few festive touches into our homes. From classic Christmas wreaths to table centre pieces and pretty twinkling lights, there are hundreds of gorgeous ways to get your home looking seriously stylish.

Below we’ve rounded up a few of our favourite ideas, tips and tricks to give you inspiration-a-plenty.

Evergreen foliage such as holly, fir and mistletoe, is one of the easiest and most elegant ways to dress your home. Use it to decorate everything from table settings to door handles, partnering it with beautiful ribbons or – for a rustic touch – brown parcel string.

Prepare a Christmas Tipple

Warming berry-based liqueurs – such as Sloe Gin – go hand-in-hand with Christmas celebrations. Perfect for gifts and entertaining, they can be decanted into pretty vintage bottles and decorated with hand-written labels. Fancy making your own? Follow the BBC Good Food Recipe here.

Shimmer and Shine

A little sparkle goes a long way when it comes to Christmas decorations. From branches dusted in glitter, to jewel coloured baubles and tassel garlands (as seen paired with our lovely Amelie sofa above), these fun festive touches will lend an air of celebration to entrance halls, living rooms and dining rooms alike.

Wonderful Wreaths

Welcome guests into your home with a beautiful Christmas wreath. Those placed on front doors will need to be relatively hardy, but for those hung indoors you can afford to be creative and adorn them with pretty details such as lights and decorations
